At the end of the day take comfort in a quick shower at the modern shower house or do a load of the kids laundry in our laundromat.

FISHING
The Bella Coola River along with the Atnarko River & dozens of streams,and creeks,anglers can try for Cutthroat and Rainbow trout, Rocky Mountain whitefish and Dolly Varden.

It is easy wading into Thorsen Creek, scenically splendid as it meanders through a mossy forest, to fly fish for Cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden.
Chinook salmon run mid-May to mid-July, Coho salmon in September and October, Chum salmon in late July and Pink salmon in late July & August.
A Guided River Trip is a must for Avid Anglers.
HIKING
The Bella Coola Valley boasts many incredible hiking trails, from easy to moderate.Enjoy a relaxing stroll through an old growth forest, climb a glacial waterfall or wander the flower strewn alpine meadows of the coast mountains. The Bella Coola trail alliance has done an outstanding job of maintaining established trails and venturing out for additional hiking and mountain biking trails.

STAR GAZING
With very little light pollution, star gazing is unbelievable. A photographer's heaven, with outstanding skies. The Milky Way, Orion's Belt, the Big Dipper and endless other constellations.
The Persiedes meteor shower starting in July and peaking mid August will give an evening show of up to 100 meteors an hour. August evenings relaxing on the beach at the river's edge in your chair is perfect for the night owl.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
The trail system is maintained by the Bella Coola Trails Alliance, which is a collection of dedicated volunteers, working in partnership with the Recreation Branch of the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations. The Bella Coola Community Forest is one of the supporting sponsors for the Trails Alliance.

Trails are an important part of the history and heritage of the Bella Coola Valley. The Nuxalk people first developed the grease trail routes leading from the main valley to the Chilcotin Plateau for trading eulachon grease and other products with interior First nations. These trails were later used by European explorers, like Sir Alexander Mackenzie in 1793, gold seekers heading to the interior and pioneers settling the province in the 1800’s.
In addition, over the years, trails were cut into the side valleys by hunters and trappers. Logging in the valley started in the earley 1900’s and some of the trails are actually former logging skid roads that have regenerated naturally.
RIVER RAFTING
With one of the few boat launches on the river, take the opportunity to be immersed in the outstanding scenery. There is no better way to view this valley and all the vistas it has to offer.
Bears, eagles, deer, wolves, cougars, otters, martin, fox, weasels are at the valley bottom taking advantage of the river.
Whether using your own drift boat or pontoon boat for the adventurous or using one of the local guides, please use caution as there are some class 2 sections and the river is constantly changing it's course.
